Prevention is the key to healthy teeth and gums. Our team works with our patients to ensure that they are doing what they need to minimize their risk of dental diseases and conditions. But prevention goes beyond what we can do in the office. What you do on a day to day basis is extremely important. Good oral hygiene practices and limiting your sugar intake will decrease your risk of gum disease and cavities.

Prevention also includes regular dental exams, cleanings, and X-rays. Sealants and fluoride are also great preventive treatments that help protect your teeth. We also perform visual oral cancer exams, and go over your oral hygiene techniques to make sure you are doing the best you can in the prevention of cavities and gum disease. For patients who clench/grind their teeth or play sports, a nightguard or sports guard may be recommended to prevent further damage or wear on your teeth. For those who had previous orthodontic treatment, retainers can be fabricated through our office.
